Bystander Training - RSVP your spot today. March 10th at 9:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. This training will introduce participants to proactive ways to be a supportive presence in racially or socially difficult circumstances. Led by Rev. Stewart (PNWUMC Elder) using the peace circle model, the training will enhance our understanding of how to intervene in ways that feel safe and doable by providing skills to prevent and reduce harm. Learn how to stop standing by and begin to become an active bystander. We will learn techniques and methods that help us with nonviolent, peacemaking, and de-escalating interruptions of racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, and all the isms!
