Music Ministry

Music is an important part of Congregational Life at Browns Point UMC! We believe music is a conduit of God's love, grace, and comfort. 


During Sunday Morning Worship we hear classical pieces from Bach played by our pianist and cellist.  Hymns are a mix of modern, traditional and even member composed. The choir sings every Sunday, expect during the summer.

Christmas Cantata


Special Music

During the summer, the choir is on vacation and the baton is passed to the congregation. An invite goes to all the congregation to share their musical talents during worship.


Participants range in age from 12 to 90, people accompany their singing with their instruments or even sing acapella. Sometimes the audience joins in singing church camp songs along with the hand motions that go with the song. Ken Potter, our accompanist, invited The Experimentals acapella group one Sunday. Ken also takes the stage with his dynamic voice and piano playing.
