Lenten Mission Offering: Pigs On A Mission

The church voted and this year's Lenten mission offering will benefit National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI) of Pierce County. Jesus cared about people who struggled with mental illness and healed them. Each of us know some one who has been impacted by mental illness. That's why this year our church is sending our Pigs on a Mission to help raise money for the National Alliance On Mental Illness of Pierce County. It is a local non-profit serving in our community of Pierce County. They are a part of a national organization. Here are some wonderful things they are doing: They do some amazing things in our community like:

  • Provide free support groups for people struggling with mental health
  • Family to Family- 12 session program for family, partners and friends of adults living with mental illness.
  • Crisis lines for mental health and suicidal thoughts
  • Fighting the stigma of mental health
